Boat rental in Cannes · Fountaine Pajot — Isla (2022)

Awful, rude, aggressive bully. I simply said I’ve never rented a boat with no water or bin before. The skipper (Marcus) got confrontational. We went for lunch. I told the boat before the contract we would return by 18.30. At 5.00 the boat departed leaving us in Cap D’antibes not honouring the contract.

We spent the day with Marcus, who was very communicative and such a lovely man. The rules were clear and made sense, there was fun equipment for us to use, a refrigerator and some great shade and a place to sun yourself at the front. We had a lovely day and will definitely book again with Marcus and Louisa!

We had the most amazing experience on the yacht with Marcus. Marcus made our experience so wonderful. Working with Louisa was also so great and she was very accommodating to all our needs and changes. We are so happy with this experience! Thank you! The crew of 12!

Booking with Louisa was fantastic. She provided ample information prior to our charter, covering details like food options, times, and essentials to bring. The boat was perfectly sized for our group of ten, celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday, and we enjoyed it from 11 AM to 5 PM. Our skipper, Marcus, was very cautious about boat safety and rules. While we appreciate the importance of guidelines for a safe boating experience, the approach felt more stringent than what we’ve encountered with past charters. This affected the relaxed atmosphere we were hoping for. Moreover, there was a moment when Marcus misunderstood our request to delay ordering pizzas and subsequently confronted one of our group members quite aggressively. This incident, which occurred in front of everyone, was strange and unexpected, and it notably marred our experience. This was our fourth boat rental, and although this experience was a bit different, the boat was lovely and Louisa was incredibly helpful. Overall, while there were aspects of the day that felt more controlled, the quality of the boat and the coordination by Louisa were commendable.

The boat was great but there were so many rules and restrictions by the skipper/owner. Basically you can stay on the deck , everywhere else was off limit. Walking to the front deck was allowed from one side only. Bathroom flush needed a special tutorial that was given to one person only with the responsibility of making sure everyone else gets it . Freshwater on the boat was to be used one time only at the end of the day…. None of these rules were shared before we got on the boat. Not the boat rental experience one would expect. Deeply disappointing.

Great skipper with an interesting story about made for very pleasant company. Clean boat and well maintained. Only downside was that I wish we did more sailing and seeing the coast , partially my fault as I didn't discuss the plan in advance .
