Very uncomplicated and pleasant handover. Helpful landlords who were available at all times. We had a relaxing weekend on the houseboat.

The boat owner was not happy that we had no idea about boating. The rectangular shape of the houseboat makes it extremely difficult to dock at the pier without damaging the corners. That's why we weren't allowed to use locks and, to be on the safe side, we didn't dock anywhere. So we had to make do with the food we had brought with us (barely!) and couldn't go on a stroll around town or sightsee. Unfortunately, the boat was still damaged when a motor yacht drove close to us and the wave bent the lowered anchor rod. We reported the damage immediately, with a photo of the yacht. The owner didn't file a complaint, but later said that this sort of thing happens often and presented us with a bill for €1000 for the repairs. Click&Boat had sold me a deposit insurance policy when I booked. I contacted them and received an answer IN FRENCH! I wrote that I don't speak French and then received an email IN ENGLISH! I translated it using Google to find out what the insurance company wanted from me! The trouble will probably last a while! IT'S A RUDE that Click&Boat sells INSURANCE IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE to German customers! CONCLUSION: Anyone who wants to charter a boat should take out all-inclusive insurance beforehand!

Beautiful area and good boat, but unfortunately the operator was very unfriendly, annoyed and unhelpful - just not interested! His motto: You rented the boat, now see how you get on with it... So be careful if you don't really know the area and houseboats well!

I had previously read some warning words on Click&Boat from other tenants who complained about the way they were communicated with. I noticed this and prepared myself for the fact that I might not be treated in the friendliest way. What can I say - despite my mental preparation, I was shocked at how Marco greeted me both on the phone and in person. I thought about it and have not found a moment in the last 10 years when I was treated like this. No office, no business partner... and certainly not a HOST OF A HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE. No hello, neither on the phone nor in person, but straight away an aggressive and annoyed response. Ms. Nowottnick is empathetic enough to see the problem and does her best to put it right... but unfortunately can only partially compensate for it. So now I'll say the following: I spent around €1000 on 2 days to have a nice break with my son. Please, please, try not to ruin people's expensively bought break in a few minutes in the future. You are HOSTS of LEISURE EXPERIENCES with your houses and boats. This also includes a little bit of joy in wanting to give people a good time.

We actually had 4 great days on the Havel. Unfortunately, this effect was lost when we returned the boat. More on that in a moment. When the boat was handed over, everything went smoothly. We arrived on time, were able to load up, were instructed, the damage was shown to us, we were taken in and were able to do a practice round of mooring and unmooring, as well as turning in the canal. In general, the boat is well equipped. It could have had a bit more crockery. We found the cleanliness to be sufficient, but it could definitely be better. Now for the return. When we were almost back at the jetty, we called the landlord. We were then told on the phone that he had told us three times to call an hour beforehand and then again in the canal to say that he would be there. Strangely, none of the three of us noticed this on the day of the handover, even though he apparently repeated it three times. The time for the handover was set at 10 a.m. and we stuck to that. The landlord himself was there. Could this drama have been avoided? We are happy to provide laminated signs as a reminder on the day the boats are returned so that this doesn't happen to any more guests and the landlord is annoyed even more. At the jetty itself, it was suddenly only 30 minutes before arrival. Well... The following was all criticized at the time of handover: The boats were knotted incorrectly and one of them was in the wrong place. He wanted to charge us 20 euros for this if he had to retie them ALL again or we would do it ourselves. The knots themselves were also criticized. Statement: anyone who knows about boats wouldn't make such knots. Fun fact: we don't know much about them, that's why we have a houseboat like this. This time the gas was charged at a flat rate of 10 euros, they would always do that, in the case of the other review it was 5 euros. The fuel costs were not transparent in the price per liter. According to our calculations, it was 2.50 euros. The current price of petrol in Ketzin is around 1.80 euros per litre. We recommend clarifying this beforehand, as well as the price of gas. Furthermore, 2 new small dents have apparently been noticed. We cannot say where they came from. These small dents are on the same wall as other very large damages. Since the wall needs to be repaired anyway, it seems that they are collecting donations from all guests to finance the repairs. We can only say for ourselves that we did not offend anyone. It was probably a fish that was suicidal and that is why it jumped onto the wall twice. He also complained that the ladder into the water was bent and what we had done with it. In any case, it was not a ladder game. Climb in and out of the water. That is what it is there for. In the discussion about this damage, it was noted several times that no one was ever at fault and that everyone was lying. Here is a friendly reminder. Anyone who rents out their property should also be able to tolerate their guests and the fact that they don't do everything perfectly and therefore shouldn't portray them as liars, those who cause damage, tie knots incorrectly or bend ladders. There seems to be a lack of empathy for this job. In short, the Monday mood was now completely gone. Please document any damage in detail and negotiate prices beforehand. It seems to us that the fee to Click&Boat is being compensated here. As a gesture of goodwill, 250 euros (including fuel and gas = 177.50 euros) have now been deducted from the deposit. As a gesture of goodwill, we are giving 2 stars. Of course, the landlord will express his point of view here or not. The facts listed are ours.

Unfortunately, we have to give a bad review. When we arrived, we were greeted in an unfriendly manner with the words "You're late". We were at the meeting point within the specified time, despite a 3-hour journey. Then we received a fairly precise introduction to the houseboat, which was pretty much the only positive thing. When we handed it over, we were suddenly asked to pay more money, although we had already paid all the costs in advance via the platform. We refused. When we returned the houseboat, we were surprised by non-transparent costs. We never received an invoice for this, not even a receipt for the deposit of €500. We only received €20 of the deposit back when we returned it, on the grounds that the fuel used cost €160, and gas was charged at €5. We were not even asked whether we had used it at all. How much fuel we used was not calculated either, just a rough estimate. We caused damage to the boat, this was a wooden strip on the front left, for which another €160 was deducted from the deposit. The strip wasn't even really damaged, 4 new screws would probably have done the job. Then they looked at the propeller of the motor, and allegedly new damage was found, which was also charged at around €70 and deducted from the deposit. We don't understand how the damage was actually caused by us, as we weren't shown the motor when it was handed over. I assume that the operator underestimated the costs beforehand and that he is trying to enrich himself in this way. Absolutely dubious. We are still waiting for our bill to this day. I can only advise everyone not to rent here, please find a better alternative!
