This is the worst experience I have ever had. Here is a brief summary of how a fun vacation turned into a nightmare. It started with the fact that the boat did not look at all like the pictures. It was extremely poorly maintained, and there were visible defects. In my communication with Huriyet Deniz, we agreed on a price of 3950,- for three and a half days. This included fuel for sailing in Kusadasi. I had agreed that we wanted to sail to Didem, and this could be done for an additional payment. This was not a problem until we got on the boat, and Captain Yusuf demanded no less than 2000,- euros for this trip (a journey of less than 300 km). Since we had agreed with family to come to Didem and we had no knowledge of boats, this amount was paid. In hindsight, it turned out we were severely scammed. In addition to this major scam, the speedboat was broken, which made it difficult for us to get ashore easily. We stayed in hotels, so the skipper had plenty of time to fix the speedboat during the hours we were not on board. However, this did not happen and was only done the next day in the middle of the day, causing us to wait half a day on shore. We eventually left a day early because we couldn’t take it anymore. We were extremely scammed, and everyone should be warned about these people. We are in the process of taking legal action. Besides all of this, the first thing the captain said when we boarded was: “If the police come, you should say we are friends and met in London, don’t mention the fact that you paid for this.” I could go on endlessly about the 100 things that were wrong and the scam we experienced, but in short: never rent a boat from this company. I also urge anyone who has had a similar experience with this rental company to come forward.
