Boat rental in Naples · Rio — Daytona 34 (2021)

We had a fun day on the boat with our skipper Manu. Pick-up/Drop off was changed back and forth a day ahead due to G7 - but it all worked out in the end. The boat was spacious, but not as neat as on the pictures. Communication was swift however.

We rented this boat for our family vacation, to have a day on a boat and sail around Napoli and to have a trip to Procido. At first everything seemed fine, till we stepped in a boat… Our boat captain didn’t know how to speak english at all, when you work with tourist you supposed to speak at least a bit in english. Boat doesn’t fit 9 people comfortably, but they are writing that they can fit 11! We started our ride at the morning and hoped to enjoy our coffee with croissants as promised. There was none of it. Also they call “snacks” just a pack of crisps for 9 people :D Even if they had coffee and croissants you could not enjoy it on a ride because our captain was not sailing, he was literally flying with the boat, we were with kids, tried to ask him to slow down but he didn’t understand the word and just smiled. It was very unsafe, they didn’t offered us wests and also didn’t have it for all of us, just two for 9 people which 3 of it was kids… As you imagine a boat ride you expect for quiet sailing stopping in some spots enjoying a swim and sun. Our captain decided that we just wanna stay in one place for 9 hours on a sun all day :) When we tried to communicate with him trough translator he just typed that this way is safer to just stay in one place and hang… After couple of times trying to ask to see more he finally sail around an island and came back in same spot to stay for the rest of the day. As we started our ride on 9am at 4pm we asked to sail around Napoli coast because we didn’t have an opportunity and it was promised. Probably ship captain wanted to save some gas and wasn’t bothered to understand our english and translated text so he just sailed back to the port and expected us to go for a walk or hang in a port. We got out of boat and said that we finished our trip 2,5h earlier, not because we wanted but because our captain decided. As we didn’t see the reason to pay extra 350€ for a ride to island he got angry and called ship owner. We explained what happened and didn’t bother to help with this situation and just said that we have to pay or make an deal with captain who again doesn’t understand a bit of english… After all we been scammed we paid 1250€ for a 7 hour ride not 10h. Almost all trip we stayed in one spot, we haven’t got any coffee, croissants or proper snack. Safety was not guaranteed even for the kids. Captain doesn’t speak english at all, they do not care about their clients. NOT WORTH AT ALL!!! Reply by the owner: Dear customer, we are sorry for your negative review but we do not understand your disappointment we answer you voice by voice to be clear and FAIR - the price you agreed was €350 for petrol to Procida and not the tour of Naples, especially when the captain called the owner our MISTAKE was not calling the police immediately given your VERY HIGH ALCOHOL CONTENT which in fact made you laugh on the phone while the owner justified the price of €350 for petrol (agreed with you for some time) and you in a vile way laughing and joking asked to pay less. - the captain on the return with the boat from Procida (after your confirmation to return to Naples) made you take a tour at 10 knots to let you enjoy the view. done the route you indicated it is not up to him to choose the return times but his family on the boat said they wanted to return, not us! - the boat is approved for 12 people being a 10.3 meters, I don't think she knows more than the testers - we always offer breakfast at the bar above the pier and she already said on the phone that she didn't want it, surely on the boat we don't serve the mottini packaged in a bag - regarding the captain, as they often do, they ask us for a captain who speaks English, French, Spanish and we meet the customer's request - the tour is agreed upon in the contractual phase on Click and Boat and she was reserved the Naples - Procida route even doing coast coast and the captain with extreme calm on the return showed you the whole coast at 10 knots to allow you to enjoy the view in total relaxation. obviously at your request to go to the port of Naples the captain could not fulfill your request because no boat has the right to enter the port of Naples but even more so if you had wanted to do a more important and long tour surely you should have been pressed, at the time of confirmation of the day, to explicitly say that you wanted to do this too. it is not that with the price of fuel to go to Procida allows you to then go and see all of Naples (it would be very simple like that)
