Gite alle Isole Borromee: esplorare le perle del lago Maggiore Il Lago Maggiore e - in particolare - il Golfo Borromeo, è celebre a livello internazionale per il paesaggio, il clima temperato e le località di soggiorno. Stresa, denominata anche la "perla del lago Maggiore”, è apprezzata per i giardini, gli alberghi di grande tradizione, le manifestazioni culturali e congressuali. Essa si trova alle falde del monte Mottarone, panoramica località di sport invernali, facilmente raggiungibile in funivia. L’attrattiva maggiore del golfo è però costituita dalle famose isole Borromee: l’Isola Bella, con il nobile Palazzo Borromeo ed i giardini all’italiana, creati con esuberante fantasia barocca; l’Isola Madre, amata per la vegetazione rigogliosa, le piante rare, i fiori esotici, i pavoni, ed i pappagalli in libertà; l’Isola dei Pescatori, che ospita un villaggio pittoresco; infine l’isolotto di San Giovanni, l’unico non visitabile.
