Our recent sailing trip unfortunately began on a disappointing note. The owner arrived significantly late, leaving us waiting for a long time. This delay was compounded by the fact that he forgot the snorkel equipment we had rented, further prolonging our wait. His demeanor upon arrival was less than welcoming; he neither greeted us nor smiled, appearing stressed and unapproachable. This initial interaction was far from pleasant and set a negative tone for the beginning of our trip. Once on board, we noticed an unpleasant odor emanating from the toilets, which detracted from the overall comfort of the vessel. Despite these initial setbacks, the first day of sailing led us to a truly magical destination. The skipper guided us to a charming restaurant where we enjoyed a stunning sunset, and he showed us a few untouched gems that were incredibly beautiful. However, our experience was marred by several disappointing aspects. One evening, we found ourselves anchored in a very crowded area, which was a stark contrast to the serene spots we had been led to earlier. This choice of location was quite disheartening. Additionally, the skipper’s apparent lack of experience became evident during the trip. He seemed to get easily flustered during docking maneuvers and was unreceptive to any suggestions or assistance, often responding with unkind comments. This happened every time we docked and significantly affected the overall atmosphere on board. His stress and unwillingness to accept input from the crew made these moments particularly tense. Prior to our trip, we were provided with a suggested itinerary by the owner, optimized for a four-day journey. There were specific locations we were eager to visit based on this plan. While we understand that sailing plans can change due to weather conditions and other factors, it was perplexing that none of the recommended destinations were deemed possible by the skipper. This inconsistency between the owner’s recommendations and the skipper’s decisions was quite disappointing, as it led to unmet expectations. It seemed as though the skipper preferred to visit locations that were easier for him to dock at. Another major disappointment was the last night of our trip. We had been under the impression that we would be spending the final night anchored out at sea, but instead, we were required to sleep in the boat harbor. This change was poorly communicated, and when we called the owner for clarification, he was uncooperative and confrontational. For us, the issue was less about the change itself and more about how it was handled and communicated, which was extremely poor. On a positive note, the skipper ensured our safety throughout the trip, avoiding any risky maneuvers. One particularly concerning incident occurred when we were refueling. The skipper nearly collided with the dock, and if we had not jumped ashore to secure the boat, significant damage would have occurred. This incident highlighted a lack of responsibility and experience on the part of the skipper. We were also surprised to find that the skipper consumed 4-6 beers each day, which was not something we had anticipated when planning for his meals. Upon returning for checkout, a small plastic part that had already been worn and brittle broke while we were sailing. Despite this part being inexpensive and easy to replace (as we know from our own sailing experience), the owner made a big issue out of it and demanded much more than necessary for the repair. In summary, while we experienced some beautiful moments and visited a couple of stunning places, the overall trip was hampered by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and an unwelcoming attitude from both the owner and skipper. We had a fine trip, but ultimately, we are left feeling quite disappointed with the overall experience. Improvements in these areas could greatly enhance future trips for other guests. I hope this review accurately reflects your experience in a constructive and respectful manner.
Incredible trip. Our 6 day sailing trip was perfect for our family. A well laid out plan was developed; however each day we were involved in reviewing the plan and adjusting based on weather, and updated priorities. The skipper would present key knowledge and insights to help formulate each decision. The boat perfectly met our needs (family of 5).
Nice boat in good state. Responsive communication of Sebastian for thé Cruise arrangement
We booked a two days trip for a family birthday and it turned out to be one of the greatest experience we’ve ever had. The boat is just as nice as the service is perfect. Sebastian was always reactive to any of my questions and very helpful to plan the cruise. The skiper Jakov was a wonderful guide through the croatian islands and an excellent teacher for anyone curious to learn few things about sailing. Thank you for the unforgettable memories and we hope to cruise with you again soon !
We really enjoyed the boat. Owner was very kind, boat was in good condition and just perfect for the offered price.
The capatain was quite stiff and didnt always communicate clearly. Almost rude sometimes.
On me...
The boat is extremely well maintained and Sebastian and his wife are super welcoming and helpful. Everything was very well explained to us and our tour of the Adriatic Sea was perfect. I recommend.
Skipper Jakov is very nice and fun to chat with. Parking options in the description would be helpful. When communicating with the charter company, not all questions were always answered, e.g. B. after meals or after paying the deposit. The ladder to the bathing deck should be checked. This is wobbly and has an uncomfortable angle to climb.
Boat very well maintained, comfortable and well equipped, with everything you need on board for everyday life, and everything that works well for navigation. Sebastian is rigorous and available. Very good communication.
