In December of 2021 we (me and my father, Galina and Sergey Ivanov) participated in the trip organised by the wonderful company Seyscapes Yacht Charter. Very comfortable boat, very skilled and professional Captain Edwin organised an interesting trip on the beautiful islands and National parks of the Seychelles. Amazing sites, wonderful food, prepared by Stefan, our cook, and adventures together with fishing provided us with unforgettable and joyful experience that will warm our hearts for many years. We would like to thank once more Tina and Edwin for the professional and thorough organisation of the process.
This "intimate" cruise (4 passengers + 2 crew members) will certainly remain one of the best vacation experiences of my life. The best way to discover the Seychelles in their fullness, in the company of a skipper-owner of his unforgettable sailboat. Edwin programmed crossings from island to island according to the winds. A tireless, helpful narrator, with a remarkable sense of hospitality, he knows the archipelago perfectly, having grown up there, before a big parenthesis in the hotel industry in England. Speaking Creole and doing well in French, he also allows you to improve your English with impeccable pronunciation. We caught a tuna (bonito) immediately prepared in sashimi by the cook on board, soon followed by three barracudas. We anchored on paradisiacal beaches, swam among turtles, surveyed preserved islands and fed century-old turtles, dived in transparent waters. Nothing was missing. The sailboat (15 meters) is perfectly maintained, it does not show its age. Comfort remains typical "camping" (one wash per day and quick rinsing after bathing) but allows you to gain in authenticity what you lose in comfort. We find ourselves doing ecology without wanting to, and that's good. 3 cabins for 4, it remains quite correct. For my part, I chose to sleep on a small mattress, on the deck, with my head in the stars (what a sight!), lulled by the lapping of the waves and I don't regret it. Thank you Edwin for these good moments of fun, thank you Chris for these small local dishes prepared and served on board. I would like to have the opportunity to relive this once again before completing my passage in this world. We still have to talk about money. A week for four (three adults) with meals, moorings (you have to pay for them on the spot), visits and consumption (reasonable) on board cost us around 5,500 euros (excluding plane tickets). This is probably the best quality/price/pleasure ratio on this destination. Do not hesitate. And the icing on the cake: they always respond quickly to all your questions, even the most improbable ones. :-)
Dear Frederic, It was a pleasure hosting your family and your friend Elizabeth on board Yacht Tina. You made the charter entertaining, exciting and easy-going. We hope you got to experience a small number of our islands, sharing the nature and sealife and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind regards Edwin and Tina
