I suggest you rent this sailboat, a Feeling 850 of 8.50 meters, keelboat with 1m70 draft. This boat will be ideal for your group or family outings, in order to discover the surroundings of La Rochelle by sea! .... Île de Ré, Île d’Oléron, Île d’Aix, Fort Boyard, and Sables d'Olonne, Noirmoutier over several days… The port of Minimes provides very easy access to the lively city center of La Rochelle. This sailboat is safe, seaworthy, and well equipped. It is from 1984, so don't expect a new boat, however everything is functional. I am trying to improve it little by little, do not hesitate to share your suggestions with me! In order to ensure the comfort of all during your navigations, I advise you to be 5/6 maximum for a day trip, and 4/5 for several days (4 adults or 3 adults + 2 children). Born under the pen of the architect Philippe Briand, the Feeling 850 has combined racing performance while having a spacious interior that is perfectly suited to use on a cruise. Moreover, its fittings confirm it: a double cabin aft, on the other side of the companionway, the toilet area, a chart table facing the galley, a large U-shaped saloon (convertible into 2 berths) and, at the very front, a double berth hidden behind a curtain (Breton bed). The large portholes provide good light to the entire saloon. Outside, there is a rather large cockpit where the crew can fit six. Semi-battened mainsail, furling genoa, spinnaker available. The boat is equipped with a GPS, a fixed and a portable VHF, a depth sounder, an anemometer and an autopilot to be installed on the helm. An inflatable annex can be made available on request. On the safety side: 6-person life raft, 3 fire extinguishers, hand flares, 4 automatic vests and 3 foam vests on board. Kitchen side: 2 gas rings, a fridge (icebox) and a microwave (which only work when the boat is plugged in at the quay). The marine toilet must only be used when sailing, use the harbor master's toilets when spending the night in port. You can leave for a day, a weekend or even a whole week to follow the coast and discover superb landscapes. Bottom sheets and tea towels are provided. Bring your sleeping bag and pillow.
