Description of Oriol's sailboat
Beneteau - Oceanis 30.1 | 6 People
The Oceanis 30.1 is easy to sail but lively to helm and promises new experiences and thrills. This robust little smart cruiser is small enough to trail, opening up endless possibilities for sailing on lakes and rivers, as well as coastal sailing and high sea adventures.

It was a wonderful day, the boat was perfect. Easy handling and quiet fast. Thank you
Great communication with Oriol and the rest of the team, including Pablo and Alfonso in Palma base. Nice boat, well maintained for a charter sailboat and super easy to navigate with, the engine I believe was 15hp, a bit tight in Mallorca with more than moderate breeze (F5) but I would not navigate in such conditions anyway, good in all other conditions anyway (including F4), it compensated the fuel consumption was negligible! My only comment is for the team to better communicate if there are specific instructions for some of the equipment, the dinghy outboard engine provided had the throttle inverted! Super unintuitive, better to give the heads up to future customers about it, or fix the engine with the manufacturer altogether. All in all great experience and will repeat with them.
The boat is pretty new, but there are several small things that has to be repaired, like a fixation os the dog house. With just the fridge on, the service battery support only 6-8h and it was necessary to turn on the engine to charge the battery during the day. Should be nice to add a solar power system
Oriol and his team were great. Super helpful in planning and communicating in advance of the trip. Boat was super fun to sail and was in great shape! Would definitely book again!
A very good welcome with a nice boat. A great experience.
Overall great experience! Thank you!
Amazing experience. The picking up and leaving of the boat was very easy, overall experience that I would recommend and do over again
Very good, thank you.
A complete lack of maintenance of the boat, especially the engine and auxiliary engine. It is dangerous to go out sailing with that boat.
Unfortunately, the maintenance problems listed here in the comments a year ago have not been resolved. In particular, the battery performance is now so weak that when using the refrigerator (February! low outside temperature, i.e. no high cooling effort) and when using the navigation instruments, the power was completely gone after 3.5 hours, i.e. the navigation instruments failed. The SRC radio too, this does not have a 2nd fall back battery that is independent. The dinghi could not be used because the paddles provided were completely destroyed (photos are available) and the outboard engine could not be started. (I now understood why here in the comments) Despite contacting the charter company after a day, the battery was not replaced. The passive safety, such as the obligatory flashlight, did not work, and no extra mooring lines or cords, for example, to lash the dinghi to the deck, which was only loosely hooked at the front. One of the two cranks is too long and cannot be turned to starboard because it hits the helm. The pictures of the boat and steering position shown here are not the boat that is being chartered. Further sloppiness: no marking on the anchor chain, no secondary anchor, the Reef 2 had a sheet that was too short and therefore could not be attached to the clamps or to the mast, so that when the mainsail was fully rigged, a 2 m long rope was hanging around the outside and a lot more. ... My recommendation: take a close look at all the details on the boat BEFORE leaving the harbor and raise the sails Overall, a rather mixed experience, although the boat itself sails well. . Last but not least: Supposedly full tank handed over - tank receipt for 2.5 hours under engine with approx. 4.5 kn SOG: (15 HP) - 30 liters! Which means nothing other than that the tank wasn't full. (Nominal consumption of the engine at 5 kn SOG approx. 2.5 liters per hour) Overall should when renting
Excellent boat and service!
Boat as advertised, rigging in good condition, clean interior and in perfect working order. Impeccable communication with the team, I recommend 100%!
All very well
I recommend it. Pablo's attention and service was a 10!
Everything perfect and very pleasant treatment both with Oriol and with Pablo who is in Mallorca
Very good reception, explanation was good. Every question was answered and also described. Trip was well planned by all the answers that were given to our questions. Port also easily accessible and navigable. Docking assistance was also top notch. Recommended
was very good
Great fleet and service from Be Charters. To highlight the exceptional service, dedication and attention of Borja Garat, the head of its base in Mallorca. Highly recommended.
