As a scandinavian, Budva has all what the Danish summer hasn't. Sun, warm temperatures night and day, nice beaches, crystal clear waters and a beautiful old town.

We stopped by Cala Magraner north of Portocolom. Then we headed south to Cala Mitjana, Cala Mondrago and Cala Llombards. All beautiful places to enjoy by boat.

We had a great time on the boat. Captain Tolo took us to the most beautiful beaches in the Sanblas region and Aby took care of us during the day. The food was amazing with even lobsters and fresh vegetables. Thanks for your great care and hospitality!

We had a lovely day sailing the southern coast of Martinique. Prior to sailing, Achim was quick to respond to inquiries and questions, and was very precise on where and how to find him. Achim and Elena were wonderful hosts and their sailboat is beautiful kept. They greeted us with ginger cookies and dried fruit, water and teas. There are plenty of areas for us to lounges comfortably. Our trip took us to Anses Des Arlets and we anchored in a secluded area for snorkeling. The rocky area was full over diverse fish and coral. They had great snorkeling equipment to borrow. We highly recommended them.

Bo and Chamnien are wonderful. The boat is a sweet sailing fast blue water racer converted to a luxury cruiser but when things break (and they often do especially on older boats) it is a great comfort to have an experienced skipper on board. There could be no better skipper than the owner Bo who knows his boat and her systems like the back of his own hand. He is the most experienced and capable captain I have ever sailed with. He can handle any situation with calm composure and confident competence thanks to his many years of experience. He is also very strong. What makes the tour such a delight is his wealth of stories and the equally great kindness and dedication of his partner Chamnien. She prepared delicious meals under any circumstances and shows compassion and charm in spite of adversity. They are a superb team and I consider myself very fortunate to have sailed with them. I hope I get the opportunity to do so again. Their integrity, stories and partnership are an inspiration to me and my sons.

Why should I rent a gulet?

A gulet rental is a perfect way to enjoy a traditional sailing experience. They are classic wooden boats that have originated in Turkey. These large vessels allow you to cruise through the sparkling blue sea in a unique way. Typically, large groups choose to charter gulets as they can hold up to 30 people or more.

How much does a gulet charter cost?

There are several factors that can impact the price of a gulet charter. This includes the size of the vessel, the season, the number of passengers on board and the destination. For example, a gulet for 12 people in Bodrum during the high season could cost around €22,750 per week. In contrast, a gulet for 10 people in Athens during low seasons can cost around €3,500 per week.

Do I need a boat license to charter a gulet?

A boating license could be required to rent a gulet depending on the legislation of the destination you are sailing in. In addition to regional laws, boat owners can ask for a boating license if they please. Therefore, we suggest that you reach out to the boat owner before boarding your gulet to avoid any misunderstandings.

What are the best destinations for a gulet charter?

Due to their Turkish origins, the most popular destinations for gulet rentals are typically in Turkey or in surrounding countries. In particular, other popular destinations nearby include Greece and Croatia. Of these three countries, it is very common to have a magical sailing journey in Bodrum, Athens and Sibenik.

What is included in my gulet charter and what additional expenses can I expect?

There is typically a base rate for every gulet charter. This includes the rental period and any taxes. In addition to this, there can be other rates that the boat owner can choose to include. For example, they can add fuel consumption costs at the end of the journey. In other cases, they might also charge extra for optional amenities such as water sports, cooking and cleaning services. In order to avoid any confusion and surprise costs, we highly recommend contacting the boat owner prior to your gulet charter.
