Why book a RIB charter?

Rigid inflatable boats (RIB) are renowned for their stability, buoyancy, performance, and safety. Thanks to its impressive floating abilities, you will always feel reassured onboard your RIB rental.

How can I rent a RIB?

You can easily rent a RIB on Nautal thanks to our wide array of boats available and simplified booking process. You can filter your search according to your desires by choosing the size of the boat, its age as well as the number of people on board. You can also choose to have a captain on board to guide you throughout your trip if you don’t feel confident sailing on your own.

How much does it cost to rent a RIB?

The cost of your RIB boat rental depends on the brand of the boat, the duration of your charter, the season as well as the destination. Your booking can be adjusted on prices depending on additional services your boat rental may come with.

In popular summer destinations such as France, Spain, or Portugal you can find prices starting at $120 for a day at sea and $600 for a week. Most visitors tend to charter RIBs for a short duration, for either half a day or for a full day.

Cabin RIBs, where it is possible to sleep, can cost between $800 and $10,000 per week.

What activities can I do with a RIB?

Many water sports can be practiced with a RIB rental. You can go water skiing, kitesurfing, or even tubing. Also, a day out on the water on this boat will allow you to venture into small places, such as coves, where you can take out your snorkeling equipment and observe the underwater fauna and flora.

The RIBs are easy to navigate around the sea because of their size, which allows them to get into the smallest of corners. If you opt for a bareboat RIB, you will be free to navigate wherever you wish and embrace maritime beauty. These boats are powerful, so you’ll have a lot of fun catching the waves.

Do I need a license to charter a RIB?

As RIBs are high-powered boats, most countries around the world (including major tourist destinations in Europe) require you to obtain an official license before being able to drive them. However, there are some exceptions.

Who can I rent a RIB with?

RIB charters are ideal for outings with family, friends, or even colleagues for team-building events. You can sail wherever you want, practice different water sports, and even play games such as treasure hunts for example. It is the perfect boat for all your holiday activities!

FAQs on RIB Rental

What does renting a RIB include and what extra charges might it entail?

For most offers, the price only includes rent and taxes. Fuel is usually calculated at the end of the rental period and depends on engine power, speed and climate; it can therefore range between $25 and $1,000 per day depending on your location.

Our advice: check the extras included in the offer and ask the owner for the approximate fuel costs for your journey, so you will avoid any surprises later.

What should you bear in mind before chartering a RIB?

RIBs are versatile boats that can be rented for a day, half a day, several days, or weeks.

The smaller ones are often used for day trips to reach and visit beaches or caves that are difficult to access. You can also find RIBs equipped with an overnight cabin, suitable for a longer holiday.

The largest fleets can generally accommodate up to 20 people, with a skipper included. To find out the capacity of the RIB you are interested in, please consult its datasheet.
