We spent a wonderful week on the Dado with our family (2 adults, 2 kids). Generally the boat is in a good shape (anchor winch was changed recently, the kitchen is located just close to the exit what is good for serving the table outside and its configuration is quite ergonomic), but you have to know some points : - Not comfortable (impossible) for 8 persons: outside table is adapted for 4 persons maximum, kitchen equipment is ok for 4 but no more… (2 glasses only for example) - The big tiller doesn’t allow to pass normally to the back end of the boat as it blocks almost totally both side passages - The boat was not well prepared and not well checked before leaving : we had to come back to the port for some repairs after the first day. The annex engine could not be started anymore due to a missing fastener, the SUP was given without the pump, the green light for night navigation were broken… - The main radio does not work properly, you cannot hear anything. The second radio charge only on 220v, and its battery does not hold more than 1 day. - There is no 220v converter. - There is no solar panel so you have to run around 5hours / day the engine to charge if you want to use the fridge. - Trick to know: reset the circuit breaker when you have the battery alarm, put a towel on the external table before to put a plate on it as it is very slicky - Large sail has no slatt, it is almost impossible to adjust it to a good shape
Very pleasant stay onboard on the Jado
Boat conforms to the description. Worry-free rental week.
We spent a great week aboard Dado between the islands of the Madalena archipelago (think of the mandatory permit to spend the night at anchor) and southern Corsica. Friendly welcome by Giuseppe from Cannigione. Quick and efficient handling. Clean and well-equipped boat (except for the absence of a bucket on board). Correct level of maintenance with a few points noted the day after our departure and reported to the lessor to improve the comfort of future tenants (poor contact on the windlass due to makeshift repairs to the electric cable, starboard nav light unhooked from its support, fatigued annex towing eye and split oars). Note also a rapid discharge of the battery park (although new according to the rental company) which required 4 to 5 hours of engine per day to spread out consumption (mainly fridge and anchor light at night). Dado is a good walker, not a sailor, with recent sails, and we were able to sail calmly even in strong winds (25 knots established). The last day was a little complicated with the loss of the propeller (the fixing cone having loosened), but the return to port was able to be made under sail and the Sardina Yachting team helped us a lot for the pontoon grip. Thanks to Giuseppe for his advice on the must-see places to visit and for the end-of-stay arrangements.
The only flaw for me was the broken bow hatch curtain, the rest is worth the price and the people are very kind and helpful.
Comfortable, clean and efficient boat during our week of cruising with 5 people. Serious welcome on site. 2 annoying elements that we had not anticipated (lack of clarity/communication) - the boat must be returned on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., but in reality the rental company asks us to be there the day before at 6 p.m. - obligation to pay the supplements in cash on arrival, with an obligation to pay €25 per person for the sheets
