Split is a great sailing area with lots of islands to explore with beautiful sheltered anchorages. Perfect for family sailing holidays. There are so many anchorages all around the islands that a perfectly sheltered spot can always be found, even in the busy August period. Some anchorages have remote beach restaurants serving daily caught fish etc. Restaurant prices were reasonable and the quality of the food was always excellent. The water is warm and clear, perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

We had the best day on Leon’s boat. Great communication before the trip and flexible changing the day to work around a bad weather forecast. Evidently an experienced skipper. Leon booked lunch for us at Mareta in the most idyllic tranquil creek, and it was an incredible experience. He’d planned the perfect itinerary - top marks all round. We’ll be back next year for more of the same. Thanks Leon.

Couldn’t recommend enough! There was shade on the boat which was really important as I burn easily. There was a cooler box and snorkelling equipment available (although there weren’t many fish where we stopped!). The guides were brilliant and worked at the pace we wanted, couldn’t have asked for better! Definitely stop at the blue lagoon for swimming if you book this trip!
