You will find our very pretty "MALEO", a Sun Odyssey 39 DS, at the port of Hendaye in the Basque country. It is an armed mid-shore cruise boat (less than 60 NM), very seaworthy, very comfortable and easy to helm with a short crew. It has: - Two double cabins - A bathroom with shower and toilet - Hot and cold water under pressure - Fresh water reserves: 350 liters - Diesel reserve: 130 liters - A bow thruster - Usual navigation equipment, plotter, VHF (fixed) etc. The sails are new and are both furling. Our boat, rented with a parking space nearby and insurance included, is ideal for cruises of 4 to 5 people and more for a day sailing program (6 beds possible with a convertible saloon). You will have the opportunity to discover the coast which is superb all the way to La Coruña (a little over 350 miles away). It can also be very pleasant to wander along the coast and stop at the multitude of ports including the Bay of Bilbao where the metro takes you from the port into the city After La Coruña if you like the wild, there are plenty of very nice Rias but it's already much further. Not to mention navigation, the port, with its Saturday morning market, is an ideal starting point for hikes to discover this magnificent region of the Basque Country with its landscapes, traditions and architecture. Maleo is a boat in excellent condition, very clean, very comfortable and well equipped. It is a great pleasure to find a boat like this, where you don't have to worry about anything and everything works well. New sails, well maintained maneuver and perfect condition. Impeccable interior. Laurent is very friendly and does everything possible to make you feel comfortable and satisfy any needs you may have. The truth is that you couldn't ask for more! Highly recommended!
Maleo is a very well designed and very spacious sailboat. The aft cabin is very wide, the saloon and the cockpit are very comfortable. The furling sail has the advantage of allowing you to sail alone. It was a first for us on this part of the coast, we joined San Sebastian then Getaria over 2 days. The ports are easily accessible and the Spaniards made us feel welcome. Laurent is very nice and very accommodating, and he maintains his boat to perfection! I recommend it.
