Our Bavaria Cruiser 46 Sadira is a monohull sailing boat with an auxiliary engine, length mt 13.60. It is comfortable for 8 people, hosted in 4 Nautalins, 2 in the stern and 2 in the bow, but can carry up to 10 people - there are 2 additional berths available in dinette by shifting the table down; the boat has 3 bathrooms with internal shower and 1 external shower, all with hot water; this boat is nice for having fun and relax with your family or friends. Kitchenware on board is available for 10 people, with hot water, 12V electricity (220V available when connected to the port with Nautalle), sprayhood and bimini-top over the cockpit, tender. Marina di Portisco is our base, where we moor our fleet and is located 15 kilometers north of Olbia, in the north east of Sardinia; it can be reached in about 30 minutes from the airport and the port of Olbia, surrounded by wonderful nature and among the best touristic marina in Sardinia. From there you can easily navigate towards the most beautiful and exclusive destinations, finding yourself right at the beginning of the Costa Smeralda: the archipelago of La Maddalena, the island of Lavezzi and Bonifacio in Corsica and many others. Boat in good condition and comfortable. However, not equipped with an EPIRB beacon allowing navigation 60M from a shelter. No mention of this limitation on Click&Boat and in the rental company's contract. Be careful if you want to go to Sicily directly from Sardinia, impossible! We settled for a tour of Sardinia in 2 weeks. Really unfortunate for a 46 footer!
I do not recommend this rental company which allows itself to withhold part of my deposit without providing proof of the damage caused. To me, a candlestick sitting on a cloth is not proof that I twisted the candlestick. I would have liked to see the photo of the candlestick on the boat we hit and not the photo of a twisted candlestick on a large catamaran which had nothing to do with my statement. Who pays for damages without proof? I have been renting boats for over 20 years and this is the first time I have encountered this problem!!! If I accidentally break equipment, there is an expertise and I have insurance that covers the damage caused. Nothing to make a scandal out of it!!! Bad experience, I will not return to sail in Sardinia!!!
This client caused an accident at sea, going to touch another boat which was moored at anchor. This is his signed damage report: "On the night between 30 and 31 of May 2024 the boat Sadira drifted at the anchorage, in Liscia Ruja Bay. As a result Sadira had a collision with the 38 Beneteau GABRI that belongs to the Boomerang company. Damages on both boats need to be evaluated. Total / Maximum damage estimate € 4.000,00". After this, Boomerang called us saying that damage was only a stanchion broken; they sent us an invoice of € 180,00 and we paid it. We withdrew this amount from the deposit of the client. Then this client wrote us 3 emails, of which the last very offensive and aggressive, complaining for the withdrawn of his deposit, arguing that no damage were on the boat GABRI, that the picture of the broken stanchion sent from Boomerang was a fake, and threatening us to publish bad reviews if we will not refund him of € 180,00. For what above, we will not accept any further booking by this client, and will not recommend him to other charter companies if asked.
Beautiful week of cruising in Sardinia. Very good technical team. Efficiency and professionalism.
