If you want to get out on the open water but want a safe and stable vessel, look no further than a RIB hire. Rigid inflatable boats or RIBs are known for their stability, speed and impressive floating abilities, ensuring that you always feel secure while onboard.
With Nautal, hiring a RIB has never been easier or more efficient. Due to our large fleet, we have an array of options to help you find the RIB you’re looking for with a simple booking process. On our website put in your destination and the duration of your departure, and then choose “RIB” under “Type of Boat”. If you have a particular type of RIB in mind and you want to get more specific results, use the other filters for passengers, price and length of the vessel.
The price of a RIB hire depends on a number of different factors such as the duration of your charter, time of year, brand of boat and the destination where you’ll be hiring. The amenities included on your boat will also influence the price of your RIB hire and of course, if you opt for additional services such as a skipper or crew, they might come at an extra cost if they aren’t included in the final price.
The average price of a RIB hire is about £5,854 per week (£855/day) in the high season and £2,532 (£385/day) in the low season for 12 people on board. Prices vary considerably by destination. In some places like France and Spain, you can find RIBS for as low as £120 per day or £600 per week which is lower than average whereas, in other places, it can be more expensive. If you ever have any doubts about prices, be sure to contact the owner or Nautal support for more detailed information.
Because of their ease of use, comfortability and speed, the possibilities are endless with a RIB hire. You can use your RIB hire to practice watersports like water skiing, kitesurfing and even tubing. You can also use it to explore hidden coves and venture into places which are only accessible on the water. Go for a swim, deep dive or snorkel and discover the beauty of the underwater world. Marine life lovers will enjoy the colourful biodiversity of fish, flora and fauna lurking beneath the surface, and there’s no better way to see the wonders of the water than with a RIB hire!
RIBS are known for being able to reach speeds that other types of vessels cannot and because of this, most countries require you to have a nautical license to operate a RIB but as always, there are some exceptions. If you’re unsure whether or not you need a license for your RIB hire, do some research about the nautical laws in the destination where you’re travelling and contact the boat owner to ensure you meet the requirements.
If you do not have a nautical license and one is required to hire a RIB in your chosen destination, not to worry! We have plenty of RIB hires which include a skipper on board so you can sit back and enjoy the ride.
RIB hires are a great option for a family outing, a celebration with friends or even a teambuilding event with colleagues. The great thing about RIBs is that they are spacious, so they can accommodate large groups of people. The majority of our fleet accommodates 12-14 people on board, but you can find RIB hires for over 20!
Nautal has an extensive fleet of RIB hire options all over the world including the most popular European destinations like France (Antibes, Saint Tropez and Cannes) Spain (Barcelona, Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Tenerife) and Italy (Sicily, Amalfi and Sardinia). Explore the Mediterranean sea or the sparkling Adriatic coast onboard a RIB hire. RIBs are very popular vessels for island hopping in archipelagos in destinations like Greece or Croatia, as well as for sampling the various beaches and coves sprinkled along the coastline. Some of the most popular islands to visit with a RIB hire include the Croatian islands like the islands near Split and Zadar as well as Greek islands like Crete, Corfu, Lefkada and Mykonos. What are the most popular RIB brands?
At Nautal we have a large fleet of RIB hire options that include quality, trusted brands including Zodiac, Selva, Adventure, Highfield, Zar, Sunrider, Topline and Joker Boat Coaster.
The price of a RIB hire and what it includes is different for every vessel. For the majority of RIBs, the cost of fuel is calculated at the end of the hire period and can range from 25 to over a thousand pounds a day depending on the location and engine power of your chosen vessel. Most owners require renters to return the vessel with a full tank, so keep this in mind when looking for a RIB hire. If you’re unsure about what is included in the price of your RIB hire and you’re curious about additional costs, speak to the owner to get a better breakdown of all the expenses you should expect.
Should you decide to hire a RIB you have several duration options that you won’t find with other vessels. Most RIBs are available for daily and weekly hires and in some cases, for half a day! If you’re planning a day trip we recommend choosing a smaller RIB which will allow you to access caves and beaches that are unreachable by other vessels. If you’re keen on a longer sailing holiday, you can hire a RIB which is equipped with cabins and berths. RIBs are very versatile vessels, making them the perfect choice for a boat trip!
