Here is a report of our boat rental day from noon to 6:30 p.m. When we arrived around 11:45 a.m., we were received by a person who had no contractual relationship with Jérôme, the manager of the structure mandated to rent us the boat We were 2 couples with 4 children (between 3 and 10 years old). We toured the boat and the equipment rented (towed buoys and life jacket). The person took a number of photos in my presence (propeller of the boat, life jacket with an apparent hole and the boat's meter). We then signed the contract together. She told me that the engine to raise the anchor (the windlass) was out of order (broken down the day before according to her). So she just showed me with the crank in the hold. At no time did we look at the anchor. We went out to sea straight away, we made 2 anchorages at sea (one to go to the restaurant on the island of Lérien 30 meters from the shore where a water taxi came to pick us up and one 10 meters from the coast towards the island of Vieilles in order to snorkel). When we returned to the port, the person told us directly that the anchor was twisted. We told her that it was simply impossible that it was our fault and that it was due to the journey and the mode of navigation carried out. She received us in a completely different way than during the check-in, telling us that in any case we would just have to declare it to our insurance to be reimbursed. (in RC which is totally false). She made me sign the contract by putting pressure on me by telling me that in any case she was a lawyer and she was within her rights. I asked her for a copy of the signed contract and photos of the boat during the check-in. At that moment, she took out the contract, added red notations and sent it to us by Whatsapp. I asked her to show me the photos in order to check the time and date of the photo of the boat with the untwisted ink. She never accepted and hurried to get on her bike and leave, saying that we would just have to sort it out with the owner of the boat and that she had already deleted the photos anyway. The next morning, I managed to get the manager of the boat rental company and he explained to me that I would pay for the ink no matter what. The next day, I realized that I had been debited the sum of 1220 euros following an intervention and an invoice from the company AC Services 06 (this company does not exist on société.com when you search for it via its Siret number...). I would therefore like to draw your attention to the dishonesty of this person and to prevent other people from having their stay ruined as was the case for us. We are clearly facing a scam.
